It’s summertime and algal blooms are occurring.
According to Mike Lynn from the Syracuse City Water Department and our Village water operator, raw water samples from intake #1 - which is about a mile out - are regularly sent to a lab for testing. Thus far, the results have been negative. Our chlorine levels are also appropriate. If the municipal drinking water supply warrants a public health advisory, one will be issued by the Onondaga County Health Department. 8/2024
